This position is located in the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (BCFP), Division of Supervision, Fair Lending and Enforcement which is responsible for conducting examinations of large bank and nonbank financial services companies to assess compliance with the requirements of Federal consumer financial law.
THIS IS A VOLUNTARY REASSIGNMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR CURRENT BUREAU OF CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION EMPLOYEES AT THE CN-53 OR HIGHER PAY BAND WHO ARE WILLING TO TAKE A VOLUNTARY CHANGE TO LOWER PAY BAND. NO RELOCATION REIMBURSEMENT IS AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
As a Consumer Financial Protection Analyst, you will:
Lead in the development, implementation, and operations of supervision tools and systems to support the BCFP’s supervisory process. Participate and lead in cross functional working groups with internal and external partners to develop policies and procedures.
Facilitate the management of information systems and collection of supervisory data to be used by the Offices of Supervision, Fair Lending, and Enforcement.
Lead the development of business requirements, implementation of requirements, testing, and operation of tools to support BCFP’s supervisory process.
Apply comprehensive knowledge of financial consumer protection issues and the federal consumer protection laws and regulations governing these issues to, among other things, develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to facilitate information sharing and the supervisory process.
Lead in the development and delivery of in-person and web-based trainings to examination and Headquarters staff as needed.
Communicate with supervised entities and examination teams regarding the examination process and use of financial products/services analysis solutions on an examination. Reviews and analyzes feedback for program improvement recommendations. Identifies program enhancements that set precedents and receives buy-in and approval from key stakeholders to develop and implement program improvements.
