Responsibilities


As a CN-82 Chief Information Officer, you will:


  • Set the strategic direction for technology at the Bureau. Work closely with the Bureau’s Executive Leadership to proactively identify, advise and inform where technology can amplify our mission and operations.
  • Set an exceptional culture and tone for a large organization that aims to be a beacon for how technology can work in government. Plan, design, implement and maintain cutting edge technologies and solutions to mature and transform the way the Bureau operates.
  • Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with and support overarching and emerging Federal mandates, IT best practices, and the Bureau’s mission and operational needs.
  • Build strong relationships across the Bureau to continuously maintain a keen understanding of business needs, issues, challenges, and opportunities. Develop and execute mechanisms for ongoing transparency and collaboration between the T&I office and Bureau partners.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency and accountability across all areas within the T&I office. Implement and oversee a system of operational mechanisms and controls to support effective management and governance of resources, projects, programs, capital investments, risks and budget to deliver quality services and results on-time.
