This position is in the Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB), Research, Markets, and Regulations (RMR) Division, Office of Markets. The Auto Finance Program Manager serves as a policy and technical expert in auto finance originations and servicing, as well as products and services associated with those services.

Responsibilities

As an Auto Finance Program Manager, you will:

  • Serve as subject matter and technical expert in all areas of the auto finance market, including strategy, finance, operations, capital markets, auto loan servicing, credit and dealer/business relationship management.
  • Work directly with relevant staff in Regulations, Research, and other Bureau divisions to understand capacity, opportunities, and constraints for policy making and provide work direction to relevant staff in building out and planning for implementation of policy priorities.
  • Lead, coordinate, and/or facilitate work and projects with markets analysts and fellows or cross-functional teams of analysts engaged in monitoring of current and emerging issues relating to relevant policy domains.
