Take the lead on the largest, most complex rulemaking projects and policy proposals in the Division. These projects often involve analysis of difficult and controversial issues for which there is little or no precedent.
Provide technical interpretation of consumer credit and financial services laws, regulations and rules.
Participate in developing policy and present proposed and final regulations to senior management for consideration, making oral presentations to defend positions as required.
Draft rules, amendments to regulations, Congressional testimony, official CFPB interpretations, and analyses of proposed legislation, rules and policies. Respond to inquiries relating to the interpretation of federal consumer financial laws and other regulatory matters.
